Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble has announced that it will be postponing several upcoming recitals due to ongoing concerns over COVID-19.

The recitals in question include a previously schedule showcase with soprano Luisamaria Hernández and another headlined by Flavia Darcie, both accompanied by Chris Fecteau.

Hernández’s recital featured music by Granados, Turina, Antonio de la Cruz, de Falla, Eduardo Toldrá, Villa Lobos, Daniel Catan, Eduardo Cordero, Ginastera, Jaime Leon Ferro, Elenita Santos,  and Carla Lucero and was titled “El Viaje Definitivo.”

Darcie’s recital, “Amazonian Legends,” featured music by Waldemar Henrique, Chiquinha Gonzaga, and Cacilda Borges Barbosa.

However, the company did note that there are still plans to restart its online recital series when it is safe to do so.

“It has been such a delightful experience to share the talent and expressive voices of our in these recitals, and we are eager to do more for them and for you,” the company said in a press release. “We are already developing more wonderful musical offerings for later this year as we become confident that gathering together in small groups is safe. Thank you for your understanding.”
