Decca Classics to Release 30th Anniversary Edition of Three Tenors Concert

Decca Classics has a released a new special edition recording of the Three Tenors live concert of the Italia ’90 FIFA World Cup final to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the historic event.

The recording features Zubin Mehta leading the orchestras of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma with José Carreras, Plácido Domingo, and Luciano Pavarotti.

The special edition will feature the original live album of the concert released on Decca. The Carreras, Domingo, and Pavarotti concert won the Grammy Award for Best Classical Vocal Performance in 1991 and remains the best-selling classical album of all time. It will also feature a bonus DVD of the complete concert including “making of” documentary, a 64-page glossy collectors booklet with new notes by George Hall, and many photographs from the event & behind the scenes.

The Three Tenors achieved critical and cultural acclaim, enjoying world tours and special performances throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.

The 30th anniversary will also see C-Major Entertainment release a television documentary. Additionally, the original concert footage will be made available on all major video streaming services. A Blu-ray edition of the concert and the new documentary will also be released by Decca later this year.
