Decca Classics has announced the release of Lise Davidsen’s new album “Verdi.”

The album will be released on Sept. 11 and will feature the soprano alongside Edward Gardner and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. The album will feature excerpts from “Macbeth,” “Un ballo in maschera,” “La forza del destino,” “Don Carlo” and “Aida.”

The album arrives one week before she opens the Metropolitan Opera’s 2026-27 season as Lady Macbeth and follows Davidsen’s acclaimed album Live at the Met, a live recital recorded during the soprano’s landmark solo appearance at the Metropolitan Opera in September 2023.

This season, Davidsen will sing multiple Verdi works including Verdi’s “Requiem” in Barcelona, “La forza del destino” with the Berlin State Opera, and “Don Carlo” at Opernhaus Zürich.
