Dean Artists Management, based in Toronto, and Kanttila Management, based in Munich and Helsinki, have announced a collaborative partnership.

The partnership combines Dean Artists’ relationships in North America with Kanttila Management’s network across Europe and Asia, creating new opportunities for collaboration and professional exchange in classical music. The two companies will share their respective networks and expertise to support artists at every career stage, from emerging talent to established artists performing on major stages worldwide.

“Dean Artists Management has always been dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for artists, and this partnership allows us to build on that work while creating new avenues for cultural exchange,” Morgan Reid, managing director of Dean Artists Management, said, per an official press release.

“As Kanttila Management continues to grow, strengthening our connections within the North American market has become an increasingly important focus for the agency,” Kalle Kanttila, founder and CEO of Kanttila Management, added.

Dean Artists Management has represented singers, conductors, directors and choreographers in Canada for more than three decades. Its roster has recent and upcoming engagements with the Canadian Opera Company, the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, Opéra de Montréal, Vancouver Opera, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Cleveland Orchestra, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the LA Phil, the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Morgan Reid was appointed managing director in 2025.

Kanttila Management was founded in 2012 by Kalle Kanttila as an international agency for opera singers and has since expanded to represent conductors, stage directors and choreographers as well. The agency works with institutions including the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House in London, the China National Centre for the Performing Arts, the Royal Swedish Opera, the Royal Danish Opera, the Opéra national de Paris, the Finnish National Opera and the Opéra de Lyon.
