Davóne Tines, Ann Toomey, Aubry Ballarò, Lydia Grindatto & Moises Salazar Lead Columbus Symphony’s 2026-27 Season

The Columbus Symphony Orchestra has announced its 2026-27 Cardinal Health Masterworks Season.

Below are the vocal performances on offer. All concerts, with one exception, will take place at the Ohio Theatre.

Rossen Milanov conducts bass-baritone Davóne Tines in the world premiere of Gregory Spears’ “The Mysteries,” a CSO-commissioned work, alongside Tines’ own “Concerto No. 2: ANTHEM.”

Performance Dates: Oct. 23 & 24, 2026


Milanov and Tines bring the same program to Carnegie Hall.

Performance Date: Oct. 28, 2026


Rossen Milanov conducts Verdi’s “Requiem” with soprano Ann Toomey, mezzo-soprano Alice Chung, tenor Moises Salazar, and bass-baritone Richard Ollarsaba. The Columbus Symphony Chorus, led by chorus director Stephen Caracciolo, participates.

Performance Dates: Nov. 20 & 21, 2026 


Rossen Milanov leads Haydn’s “The Creation” with soprano Aubry Ballarò, tenor Nicholas Nestorak, and baritone Joel Balzun. The Columbus Symphony Chorus, Stephen Caracciolo directing, joins the performance.

Performance Dates: March 12 & 13, 2027 


Rossen Milanov conducts Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with soprano Lydia Grindatto, mezzo-soprano Mariya Kaganskaya, tenor Victor Starsky, and bass-baritone Cumhur Görgün. The Columbus Symphony Chorus participates, with Stephen Caracciolo as chorus director.

Performance Dates: April 30 & May 1, 2027
