On Jan. 3, 2026, Dave Monaco is set to give a recital at the Teatro Civico in Sassari.

The recital will be the conclusion of the Voci di Natale concert series, organized by the Ars Aurelia Association.

Monaco will be accompanied by Michael Schirru.

In a statement Monaco said, “An opening to the year shaped by the joy of singing and by virtuosity. I begin 2026 in enchanting Sardinia, at the Teatro Civico in Sassari, where on 3rd January at 8 p.m. I will give a recital accompanied by pianist Marco Schirru. I have chosen a programme that moves from the classical magic of Gluck’s Orfeo to two emblematic Donizetti arias, ‘Una furtiva lagrima’ and ‘Ah! mes amis’, without overlooking Mozart and my beloved Rossini. There will also be a foray into L’Arlesiana and even into zarzuela, as a tribute to my recent podium finish at Operalia. Above all, I am eager to introduce myself more fully to audiences in Sassari and to share lyrical emotions in wishing everyone a New Year with music always by our side.”
