By Francisco Salazar

The Teatro dell’Opera di Roma is set to stream a concert featuring the music of Mozart and Beethoven on Dec. 19.

The concert will be streamed at 7 p.m. local time on the company’s YouTube page and official website.

Daniele Gatti will conduct the Orchestra of the Opera di Roma and Carmela Remigio will perform Mozart’s “Ah! fuggì il traditor!” from “Don Giovanni,” and “In quali eccessi, o Numi… Mi tradì quell’alma ingrata.” Additionally, Remigio will present Beethoven’s “Ah, perfido!” in celebration of the composer’s 250th anniversary. The program wil also include Mozart’s Prague Symphony and the overture to “Don Giovanni.” The company will use Franco Zeffirelli’s 2006 “Don Giovanni” as a backdrop for the showcase.

The performance can be viewed for free with a suggested contribution.
