La Monnaie/de Munt has announced that it will stream four operas as its holiday streaming package.

Donizetti’s “Don Pasquale” features Danielle De Niese, Michele Pertusi, Joel Prieto and Lionel Lhote, while Korngold’s “Die Tote Stadt” stars Marlis Petersen, Roberto Saccà, Florian Hoffmann, Dietrich Henschel, and Bernadetta Grabias.

Finally, the company is presenting Rachmaninoff’s “Troika” of “Aleko,” “Skupo Rytsar,” and “Francesca da Rimini.” Among the stars of the different casts are Kostas Smoriginas, Anna Nechaeva, Sergei Leiferkus, Dmitri Golovin, Dimitris Tiliakos, and Alexander Vassilev.

All four operas (or six operas depending on how you choose to see Rachmaninoff’s trilogy) will be available for viewing on La Monnaie’s official MM Channel until Jan. 3, 2021.

The opera house has also announced that its 2019 Krzysztof Warlikowski’s production of Offenbach’s operatic jewel “Les Contes d’Hoffmann” starring Eric Cutler, Patricia Petibon, Michèle Losier, Sylvie Brunet-Grupposo, and Gabor Bretz will be available for viewing on ARTE TV  between Dec. 27, 2020 and April 2, 2021.
