The Teatro Alla Scala in Milan has announced that German mezzo-soprano Daniela Sindram will perform a series of three concerts between Oct. 14 and Oct. 17, 2020.

Sindram will appear in Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 3 in D Minor with Zubin Mehta conducting the Teatro alla Scala Chorus and Orchestra.

The performance will also feature the Treble Voices Chorus of the Teatro alla Scala Academy. Bruno Casoni is the Chorus Master.

Daniela Sindram is a leading mezzo-soprano who has recently performed the role of Der Komponist in Richard Strauss’ “Ariadne auf Naxos” at the Teatro alla Scala, Bayerische Staatsoper and the Semperoper Dresden; the role of Sieglinde in Wagner’s “Die Walküre” at the Théâtre du Capitole; the role of Brangäne at the Deutsche Oper Berlin; and the role of Fricka in “Die Walküre” at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

The mezzo-soprano is slated to return to the stage in December 2020 in the role of Octavian in Richard Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier” at the Wiener Staatsoper.
