Dancers of the Met to Present ‘Open Air Opera’ in Collaboration with Met Chorus Artists & Met Orchestra

Dancers of the Met has announced “Open Air Opera,” a series of performances set to take place on May 16, 2021 on 75th Street between Broadway and West End between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The showcase will feature a collaboration between a collective of dancers who have performed at the Metropolitan Opera known as Dancers of the Met and the Met Chorus Artists and Met Orchestra.

Soprano Anne Marie Nonnemacher, a Met Opera Chorus member, will be a featured soloist in the performance. Artists will follow stringent COVID-19 safety protocol and will all be masked and distanced.

The program will be hosted by radio commentator William Berger.

The showcase is part of New York City’s Open Culture program aimed at bringing the arts to the five boroughs.
