The English National Opera has announced that it will reopen the London Coliseum on Nov. 6 & 7, 2020, for the two special performances of Mozart’s “Requiem.”

The performances will star mezzo-soprano Dame Sarah Connolly, soprano Elizabeth Llewellyn, tenor Toby Spence, and bass Brindley Sherratt. The English National Opera Music Director Martyn Brabbins will conduct the ENO Orchestra and Chorus.

“It is important to acknowledge the full impact of COVID-19, and the loss we have suffered as a country. Mozart’s Requiem is the perfect music to provide a moment of reflection for our audiences, for a collective moment of remembrance. It will be a moment of great happiness for ENO to welcome people back to the London Coliseum again,” said the ENO’s Artistic Director Annilese Miskimmon in an official statement.

The opera house will adapt to the COVID-19 guidelines by the UK Government and ensure social distancing.
