Houston-based DACAMERA has unveiled its 2023-24 season. Here are all of the vocal highlights.

The company will present a new suite from Terence Blanchard’s “Fire Shut Up in My Bones” at the Cullen Theater. Nicholas Newton and Adrienne Danrich star alongside the Turtle Island String Quartet.

Performance Date: Nov. 10, 2023

Mezzo-soprano Wallis Giunta stars in a program featuring music by Weill, Korngold, Eisler, and Schoenberg.

Performance Date: April 9, 2024

Peter Sellars directs “Music for New Bodies,” a work by Sellars and Matthew Aucoin, who will also conduct the world premiere performance. The work is orchestrated for an 18-piece instrumental ensemble and five vocal soloists. The performance will feature DACAMERA Young artists, vocal soloists, and students of the Shepherd School of Music.
