The Curtis Institute of Music has announced the recipients of their second annual Young Alumni Fund grants.

Ranging in amount from $1,000 to $8,000 the 20 grants of the Daniel W. Dietrich II Young Alumni Fund are meant to help provide recent graduates of the last 10 years with the support needed in their emerging careers.

Among the 20 grantees are voice and opera graduates Vartan Gabrielian, Jazimina MacNeil, Alize Rozsnyai, and Tyler Zimmerman. Funding of $55k was distributed based on individual proposals and perceived potential and impact. Grantees will also receive professional guidance and support to bring their proposals to completion.

“Our graduates are some of the most innovative and accomplished musicians in the world,” says Shea Scruggs, Curtis’ director of institutional research and musician experience and chief enrollment officer. “Their leadership is an endless source of inspiration for the next generation of classical artists here at Curtis and beyond. We are proud to support and empower young alumni as they move into the next phase of their artistic journeys.”
