Countertenor Nacho Castellanos to Headline ‘A Quiet Voice Inside’
By David SalazarCountertenor Nacho Castellanos is joining forces with pianist Mario Mazo for “A quiet voice inside” on July 20, 2024.
The event, which will take place at the auditorium of the Centro Comarcal de Humanidades Sierra Norte as a part of the Festival Clásicos en Verano in Madrid, will feature the music of Purcell, Gershwin, Schumann, and Adès. The program aims to create an ocean of sound that searches for poetry as its common motor.
The program will be repeated on August 1, 2024, at the Auditorio Kursaal as part of the Festival de Quincena Musical de San Sebastián.
Castellanos has worked with such organizations as the Auditorio Nacional de Música. In 2023, he created the group Gato Murr which focuses on hidden gems of the baroque repertory.
