Cory McGee Joins Promethean Artists

Bass-baritone Cory McGee has joined Promethean Artists for worldwide general management.

Callan Coughlan will represent him for operatic, concert, and recital appearances.

McGee opens the 2023 – 2024 season performing the title role in Don Giovanni with Wolf Trap Opera and is set to make his debut with Opera Philadelphia as Pietro in “Simon Boccanegra.” He also returns to the Atlanta Opera for Theseus in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” and sings the Second Knight in “Parsifal” and the Imperial Commissioner in “Madama Butterfly” at the Houston Grand Opera.

In a statement, McGee said, “I’ve greatly admired Promethean Artists’ core values and holistic approach to artistic relationships for quite some time. To now be a part of something so special, I’m completely overjoyed.”

Callan added, “We are thrilled to be welcoming the fantastic rising star Cory McGee to Promethean Artists. Cory has enjoyed a string of successes in recent years, most notably at the Houston Grand Opera, and we are incredibly excited to help facilitate the next steps in his career.”
