Coro Allegro, Boston’s LGBTQ+ and allied classical chorus, will present the Boston premiere of Andrew Yee’s “Trans Requiem” on Nov. 22 at the Church of the Covenant.

The performance, led by Artistic Director David Hodgkins, will take place during Trans Day of Remembrance weekend.

The 3 p.m. performance will feature two-time Grammy Award-winning cellist and composer Andrew Yee, soprano Breanna Sinclairé and tenor Sam Crosby-Schmidt.

The program will also include Ola Gjeilo’s “Sunrise Mass” and the presentation of Coro Allegro’s Pinkham Award to Giselle Byrd, Executive Director of The Theater Offensive and co-chair of the Boston Trans Day of Remembrance vigil.

The performance will take place at the Church of the Covenant.

The performance is supported in part by the Alfred Nash Patterson Lorna Cooke deVaron Grant from Choral Arts New England, The Boston Foundation’s Free For All Endowment Fund, and the Massachusetts and Boston Cultural Councils.
