Corinne Winters & Zachary James Highlight Opera Omaha’s 2020-21 Season

Opera Omaha has announced its 2020-21 season featuring three productions with a number of rising stars. Here is a look:

The season opens with Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” with conductor Steven White and Director Dean Anthony leading the production. The cast is set to include Vanessa Becerra as Susanna and Brian Vu as Figaro in his company debut, Annie Rosen as Cherubino, Zachary Nelson as Count Almaviva, and Mary Feminear as Countess Almaviva.

Performance Dates: Nov. 6 & 8, 2020

Corinne Winters and Michael Adams bring their acclaimed interpretations to Opera Omaha’s production of Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin.” Steven White conducts the production by Rosetta Cucchi with Arseny Yakovlev, Hilary Ginther, and Victoria Livengood rounding out the cast.

Performance Dates: Feb. 26 & 28, 2021

The final work of the season will be “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” with Zachary James in the title role, Emily Pulley, Ashley Emerson, Jonathan Johnson, and Rod Neiman. Hal France conducts the production by Susan Clement-Toberer.

Performance Dates: April 16 & 18, 2021
