Corinne Winters, Ryan Speedo Green, Federica Lombardi, Sara Jakubiak & Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen Lead Dutch National Opera’s 2026-27 Season

Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci” and Mascagni’s “Cavalleria rusticana” will be conducted by Andrea Battistoni. Leoncavallo’s work will star Corinne Winters, Riccardo Massi, Roman Burdenko, and Hubert Zapiór while Mascagni’s will star Raehann Bryce-Davis, SeokJong Baek, Enkelejda Shkoza, Roman Burdenko, and Maria Warenberg.
Performance Dates: Sept. 5 – 23, 2026
Shostakovich’s “Cherry Town” will be conducted by Bassem Akiki and will star Alexander de Jong, Nina van Essen, Ella Taylor, Michael Wilmering, Thomas Oliemans, and Frederik Bergman.
Performance Dates: Oct. 8-20, 2026
Bnnyhunna’s “Lennox” will star Winny Herbert, Charlene Sancho, Nienke Nasserian, Ayrton Kirchner, and Dwayne Toemere.

Leonardo García-Alarcón conducts Bach’s “Johannes-Passion” in a production by Sasha Waltz. David Fischer, Andreas Wolf, Florian Boesch, Jessica Niles, Paul-Antoine Bénos-Djian, and Matthew Newlin.
Performance Dates: Nov. 10-26, 2026
Liang Li, Elisabeth Teige, Jamez McCorkle, Jasmin White, Omer Kobiljak, and Ryan Speedo Green will star in Wagner’s “Der fliegende Holländer” with Susanna Mälkki conducting Lotte de Beer’s production.

“The 10 + 1 Strings of Captain Ud” will make its world premiere.

Opera Forward Festival (OFF)
Pierre Bleuse conduct Du Yun’s “Red Fox” with Barrie Kosky. Bo Skovhus, Annette Dasch, Qian Yi, Ya-Chung Huang, Evelyn Herlitzius, Alexander de Jong, and John Holiday.
Performance Dates: March 13–28, 2027
Vasco Mendonça’s “Hedda Gabler” will be conducted by Corinna Niemeyer and directed by Nina Spijkers. Cecilia Molinari, Iestyn Davies, Miles Mykkanen, Jessica Niles, and Thomas Oliemans star.

Cassie Kinoshi’s “The Monster Trilogy” will have its world premiere in a production by Nita Kersten.

Tchaikovsky’s “Iolanta” will star Ain Anger, Audun Iversen, Dumitru Mîțu, Thomas Lehman, Jasurbek Khaydarov, Kristina Mkhitaryan, and Elena Stikhina. Kwamé Ryan conducts Evgeny Titov’s new production.

“Impressions de Pelléas” by Claude Debussy / Marius Constant will be performed by Tour of Dutch National Opera Studio.
