Corinne Winters & Najmiddin Mavlyanov Lead Les Theatres De la Ville De Luxembourg’s 2019-2020 Season

The season opens with Weber’s “Der Freishutz” with Laurence Equilbey conducting a production by Clément Debailleul & Raphaël Navarro. Tuomas Katajala sings the role of Max alongside Johanni van Oostrum, Chiara Skerath, Vladimir Baykov, and Christian Immler.

Gustavo Gimeno conducts Michael Thalheimer’s production of Verdi’s “Macbeth” with Craig Colclough, Katia Pellegrino, Najmiddin Mavlyanov, and Tareq Nazmi.

Manos Tsangaris conducts his “Abstract Pieces” with Marielou Jacquard and Cornelius Uhle starring.
Performance Dates: Nov. 22, 2019
Rufus Norris directs a production of “Cabaret” by John Kander.
Performance Dates: Dec. 23, 2019-Jan.5, 2020
Adam Maor’s ‘The Sleeping Thousand” will be conducted Elena Schwarz in a production by Yonatan Levy. Tomasz Kumięga stars alongside Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod, David Salsbery Fry, and Benjamin Alunni.

Emmanuelle Haïm conducts a double bill of Rameau’s “Pygmalion” and Mondonville’s “L’Amour et Psyché” with Robyn Orlin directing. Reinoud Van Mechelen, Samantha Louis-Jean, Armelle Khourdoïan, Magali Léger, and Victor Sicard star.

Corinne Winters stars in the title role of Dvorak’s “Rusalka” with Antony Hermus conducting Tatjana Gürbaca’s production. Nicky Spence, David Soar, Patricia Bardon, and Claire Rutter also star.

Benjamin Attahir’s “Le Silence de Ombres” gets a production by Olivier Lexa. The trilogy of Operas begins “La Mort de Tintagiles” starring Julia Szproch, Raquel Camarinha, Clémence Poussin, and Renaud Delaigue. The second work “Interieur” is seet to star Raquel Camarinha, Clémence Poussin, Pierre Derhet, Sébastien Dutrieux, and Luc Van Grunderbeeck. The final work “Alladine et Palomides” will star Julia Szproch, Raquel Camarinha, Pierre Derhet, and Renaud Delaigue.
