Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra & Connecticut Lyric Opera to Present Bach Spring Festival

The Connecticut Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra and Connecticut Lyric Opera have announced the Spring Bach Festival.

There will be two performances starting with a Cantatas showcase featuring soprano Kelly Whitesell, mezzo Rebeca Almeida, tenor Daniel Juarez, and bass Steven Fasano. The quaret will perform such works as BWV 8: “Liebster Gott, wenn werd ich sterben?” and BWV 170: “Vergnügte Ruh’, beliebte Seelenlust.”

Performance Date: March 6, 2022

Next up will be a performance of Bach’s “Magnificat BWV 234”

Performance Date: April 24, 2022

There will also be a series of other performances featuring many of Bach’s most notable concertos. There will also be a showcase featuring the Baroque Youth Ensemble. All performances are set for St. Cyril & Methodius Church.
