Connecticut Lyric Opera to Present Francesca Caccini’s Masterwork

Connecticut Lyric Opera has announced that it will present Francesca Caccini’s “La Liberazione di Ruggiero dall’aisola d’Alcina” on Nov. 5 and 7.

The opera will be conducted by Adrian Sylveen and will star Rebecca Batista de Almeida as Alcina, Madison Marie McIntosh as Melissa, Daniel Kamalic as Ruggero, Maria Margiolakou as First Lady, Heather O’Connor as Second Lady, Allison Waggener as Third Lady, Samuel Bowen as Nettuno, Rongjun Li as First Tenor, and Sung Shi as Second Tenor.

The work will be staged by Alan Mann, the Artistic Director of Opera Theater of Connecticut.

The Nov. 5 performance will take place at the Trinity-On-Main Arts Center in New Britain with the performance two days taking place at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford.

David holds a Masters in Media Management from Fordham University. During his time at Fordham, he studied abroad at the Jagiellonian University in Poland. He also holds a dual bachelor’s from Hofstra University in Film Production and Journalism.
