Conductor Gil Rose Joines Athlone Artists

Conductor Gil Rose has joined the roster of Athlone Artists.

Rose has performed with a number of major companies including the Tanglewood Opera Orchestra, the Netherlands Radio Symphony, the American Composers Orchestra, the National Symphony of Ukraine, the Matsumoto Festival of Japan, the New York City Opera, and the Juilliard Symphony, among others.

He is also the founder of Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Odyssey Opera, two Boston-based companies with which he has sustained a major relationship and made numerous recordings. With Odyssey Opera, he won a GRAMMY Award for Best Opera Recording in 2020 for the reproduction of “Fantastic Mr. Fox.”

In sum, Rose has over 125 operatic and orchestra album releases throughout his career.

“When you’re doing American Opera, Gil Rose is the person you want on the podium,” says Miguel Rodríguez, President and Founder of Athlone Artists in an official press statement.
