The Voice Semi-Finalists for the 78th Concours de Genève have been announced.

Eight singers will participate in the Concours de Genève Voice Semi-Final including mezzo-soprano Stefanie Bruggeling, soprano Shelen Hughes, tenor Junho Hwang, baritone Jungrae Noah Kim, soprano Franciana Nogues, soprano Jaeeun Shin, mezzo-soprano, and soprano Chelsea Marilyn Zurflüh.

The eight semi-finalists were chosen from the original 32 candidates. The semi-final round will take place between Oct. 15-18  and will each present an Opera Recital, Lieder/Song Recital and Artistic Project. The final is set for Oct. 22, 2024 and will feature each finalist performing three arias.

Candidates for the Voice Competition were invited to submit their video application by April 17, 2024 and the application included three works chosen from three different periods and in three different languages with one baroque or classical aria, one opera aria and a Lied or song.

The Semi-Finals and Final will be live-streamed on Concours de Genève’s website, social media channels, and Amadeus.tv, as well as a live broadcast on RTS-Espace 2.
