Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane Città di Busseto Announces 2023 Winners

The 59th Concorso Internazionale Voci Verdiane Città di Busseto has announced its 2023 winners. 

 The competition which was held under the auspices of the Teatro Regio di Parma on Sept. 15, saw Korean baritone Hae Kang take home first prize of  8.000 €, while Georgian soprano Marina Shakhdinarova was awarded second place, which includes a 5.000 € prize. Third place went to the Korean soprano Yun Seonjae, who also took home 3.000 €.

The competition is made for singers from the age of 18 to 35 (sopranos and tenors) and between 18 and 38 (mezzo-sopranos, contraltos, baritones and basses) and for singers with Verdi voices.

On Sept. 16 the winners performed a concert at the Roncole Verdi next to the house where Giuseppe Verdi was born.
