The Concerts at Saint Thomas is set to present Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3 and Poulenc’s “Stabat Mater.”

The concert will be held on March 21, 2024, at Saint Thomas Church and will feature pianist and Director of Music at Saint Thomas, Jeremy Filsell performing the Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor with the Modus Operandi Orchestra.

The second half of the concert will feature Saint Thomas’s Choir of Men and Boys performing Poulenc’s Stabat Mater. Written in response to the death of his friend, the piece reflects Poulenc’s return to spirituality after visiting the shrine of the Black Virgin of Rocamadour. Filsell will conduct the choir and orchestra, along with soprano Laquita Mitchell.
