Concerts at Saint Thomas Announces October Performances

Concerts at Saint Thomas has announced its lineup of fall performances.

The company’s 2020 fall season will open with a concert by Fulbright scholar and organist Joy-Leilani Garbutt, who will be playing on the Miller-Scott organ. Originally scheduled for March, this program will feature French organ works by female composers of the early 20th Century, such as Claude Arrieu, Elsa Barrain, Nadia Boulanger, and more.

Performance Date: October 3, 2020

Assistant Organist Nicholas Quardokus will deliver an homage to German-chorale works, with a program including pieces from Bach, Hugo Distler, Dietrich Buxtehude, and Max Reger.

Performance Date: October 17, 2020

The October concert series will be concluded with two performances from pianist Adam Golka. These two concerts are the first two installments of their eight-part concert series which will cover Beethoven’s complete “Piano Sonatas” as they celebrate the composer’s 250th anniversary.

Performance Date: October 24 & 31, 2020
