Composer / Pianist Felix Jarrar to Showcase ‘Summer Salon’ Concert

On August 20, composer / pianist Felix Jarrar will showcase “Felix Jarrar’s Summer Salon,” a recital featuring such artists as Natalie Polito, Caroline Spaeth, Andrew Jurden, and violinist Adam von Housen.

The performance, which will take place at Rockwood Music Hall in New York City, will feature music by Jarrar, including the world premiere of his song cycle “Janus & Juno;” the piece includes text by Bea Goodwin. The program will also include a concert showcase of “Patience & Pearl,” also by Jarrar and Goodwin. The work was previously premiered virtually in October 2022 via BARN OPERA.

Finally, the concert will feature the final scene of Jarrar’s “The Fall of the House of Usher.”

Polito has appeared with such companies as Opera in the Heights, Santa Fe Opera, Sarasota Opera, Opera Columbus, and Opera Fayetteville, among others. Spaeth has performed with The Assabet Valley Mastersingers and the Contemporary Theater Company. Finally, Jurden has appeared with Mountain Opera and the Manhattan School of Music Symphonic Chorus.
