Colin Ainsworth, Mireille Asselin Headline Opéra Atelier’s 2020-21 Season

Opéra Atelier has unveiled its 2020-21 season, which features a classic repertory staple and a unique double bill.

The season kicks off with Mozart and Shikaneder’s “The Magic Flute,” which will star Colin Ainsworth, Gustav Andreassen, Mireille Asselin, Holly Flack, Carla Huhtanen, Olivier Laquerre, Danielle MacMillan, Laura Pudwell, Karine White, and Douglas Williams. David Fallis will conduct the production by Marshall Pynkoski which will take place at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto.

Performance Dates: Oct. 22-Nov. 1, 2020 

Then the company will return with a double bill of Purcell and Tate’s “Dido and Aeneas” alongside “The Angel Sings.” This production, which will be conducted by David Fallis and directed by Marshall Pynkoski will feature Colin Ainsworth, Mireille Asselin, Christopher Enns, Meghan Lindsay, Ellen McAteer, Allyson McHardy, Irene Poole, and Karine White.
