CLIP Vocal Competition Announces 2024 Winners

The CLIP vocal competition in Portofino has announced its 2024 winners.

Countertenor Elmar Hauser was named first prize while the second prize went to baritone Matteo Mancini.

The third prize was given to both bass Davide Piva and baritone Matteo Torcaso.

Other prize winners included Isabela Diaz, who won the Female Voice Award and Aitana Sanz Perez took home the Under 25 award.

Oleh Lebedyev, Marlen Bieber, and Kelsey Lauritano won the Eva Kleinitz Award. Matteo Guerze was recognized with the Italian Singer award and Tomislav Jukic won the Emerging Tenor award.

The jury was comprised of such important personalities as Dominque Meyer from the Teatro alla Scala, Peter de Caluwe from La Monnaie, Claudio Orazi from the Teatro Carlo Felice, Gianni Tangucci from the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Cristiano Sandri from the Teatro Regio di Torino, Jonathan Friend from the Metropolitan Opera, and Eline de Kat from the Monte Carlo Opera.
