Mezzo-soprano Clemence Hicks and tenor Fabio Armiliato are scheduled to perform in the Recital Cantango on Feb. 23, 2025.

The duo will perform traditional Tango music and arias with violinist Sergio Zanforlin, bassist Camilla Badessi, and bandoneon player Walter Lucherini, under the musical direction of pianist Fabrizio Mocata. The musicians will accompany the Balletto Danza all’Opera Genova.

The Recital Cantango project began nearly 10 years ago to explore bel canto and traditional Tango music and to celebrate Tito Schipa and Carlos Gardel’s legacy. The 2016 “Recital Cantango: Tribute To Schipa & Gardel” was recorded by Alfamusic and released on CD in 2017.

This year’s Recital Cantango will take place at Teatro Govi ​​in ​​Genoa.
