Opera Southwest has announced the lineup for its New Year’s Eve Concert.

The performance, set for Dec. 31, 2024 at 2 p.m., followed by a dinner at La Fonda at 5:30 p.m., will feature tenor Clay Hilley as its featured guest singer. The heldentenor is having a massive international career and was recently the recipient of the 2024 Richard Tucker Music Foundation Award. He is set to take on the title role in “Tristan und Isolde” at the Berlin State Opera this January.

He will be joined on the program by soprano Sara Duchovnay, who has performed with the Grand Teton Music Festival, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Madison Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke, Odyssey Opera, and Opera Delaware, among others.

“We are fortunate to have Clay Hilley coming to Albuquerque for our New Year’s Eve concert,” said Opera Southwest Executive Director Tony Zancanella in an official press release. “Since his appearance as Radamès in Aida during OSW’s 2015 season, his career has taken him across Europe, with few stops in the U.S.”
