Classical Movements Announces 2023-24 Secret Garden Concerts

Classical Movements has announced its Secret Garden Concerts 2023-24 season and a special performance at Carnegie Hall.

The Cultural Exchange Foundation celebrates 150 years of Rachmaninoff, featuring Classical Movements’ artists in a concert at Carnegie Hall with instrumental and vocal performances from emerging talents, including two Prague Summer Nights Opera Singers and the Morgan State University Choir.

Performance Date: Oct. 21, 2023

“Flamenco Fiesta with Sangria” will showcase the dance form, featuring solea, alegrias, and bulerias. Michael “Miguelito” Perez plays guitar alongside guitarist and vocalist Ricardo Marlow. Sara Jerez is the evening’s featured dancer.

Performance Date: Nov. 9, 2023

“Ayreheart – A Celtic Savory Soiree” aims to merge past and present through a musical journey this February, presenting a blend of historical Celtic Renaissance tunes and contemporary pieces. The concert features vocalist Aubrey Lloyd. The event also includes a themed feast intended to complement the musical experience.

Performance Date: Feb. 11, 2024

Susan Derry, known for her roles in prominent musicals like “Into the Woods” and “Phantom of the Opera,” will present “Broadway’s Best with Susan Derry,” an evening of iconic musical theater melodies in Washington D.C. The performance will include a variety of musical styles, from emotional ballads to catchy tunes.
