Cincinnati Song Initiative Unveils 2023-24 Season

Cincinnati Song Initiative has announced its 2023-24 season as well as its new national training program.

The season kicks off with its “CSI Mobile” series with a program entitled “Songs of Life, Love, and Power.” The showcase features such artists as Katherine Jolly, Kathryn Leemhuis, and pianist Samuel Martin.

Performance Date: Sept. 10, 2023

Next up is the opener of the Mainstage season “Under Your Wing,” during which the company will join forces with the Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition. The program will feature artists sharing musical stories of life, love, struggle, and triumph with an aim on spotlighting wellness. Featured artists include Katherine Jolly, Joel Balzun, Phillip Goist, Kevin Garnica, and Samuel Martin.

Performance Date: September 2023

“The Belletrists” will feature musical settings of work by Josef von Eichendorff. Kayleigh Decker, Jesse Blumberg, David Breitman, and Marie-France Lefebvre star.

Performance Date: November 2023

Will Liverman will present a performance alongside Myra Huang.

Performance Date: January 2024

CSI Mobile joins forces with The Hartt School for a multi-day song festival with a main event showcasing the work of Lori Laitman.

Performance Date: April 2-5, 2024

The mainstage season comes to a close with “To the Woods,” which feature songs inspired by Earth Day. Audiences will hear Quinn Patrick Ankrum, Brandon Bell, Elizabeth Avery, and Kelly Kuo.

Performance Date: April 2024 

Then comes the company’s new training program “The Fellowship of the Song.” The program will provide opportunities for 10 Fellows chosen through an audition process. They will then present two concerts.

Performance Date: May 19-26, 2024 

The season ends with the digital performance “Let It Be New,” a collaboration with National Association of Teachers of Singing.
