Christopher Purves, Miah Persson, Marie-Nicole Lemieux Headline Latest Additions to Glyndebourne Open House

Glyndebourne has unveiled the next set of operas that will stream as part of its online “Open House Series.”

The company revealed that it will be streaming a production of Verdi’s “Falstaff” as directed by Richard Jones. The production, which was conducted by Vladimir Jurowski, stars Christopher Purves in the iconic title role alongside Alasdair Elliott, Paolo Battaglia, Jennifer Holloway, Dina Kuznetsova, Peter Hoare, Marie-Nicole Lemieux, Adriana Kučerová, Bülent Bezdüz, Helen Atkinson Wood, Richard Dyball, and Tassis Christoyannis, among others.

Streaming Date: July 26 – August 2, 2020

Glyndebourne will then shift its attention to Stravinsky’s masterpiece “The Rake’s Progress” in a production designed by David Hockney and directed by John Cox. Topi Lehtipuu, Matthew Rose, Miah Persson, Elena Manistina, Clive Bayley, Susan Gorton, Graham Clark, and Duncan Rock headlined the cast conducted by Vladimir Jurowski.

Streaming Date: August 2 – 9, 2020

The performances will be featured on the company’s official website and YouTube channel.
