Christopher Maltman, Russell Thomas Headline LAO At Home (May 5-8)

The Los Angeles Opera has unveiled the program schedule for its LAO at Home series for the week of May 4, 2020.

On Tuesday, May 5, audiences will get some “Opera Family Time” with soprano Katharine Powers as she explores songs in Shakespeare plays. It starts at 2 p.m. PDT.

On May 6, baritone Theo Hoffman will give a living room recital focused on the works of Schubert, Mahler, Rachmaninov, and Sondheim. The recital initiates at 4 p.m. PDT.

May 7 brings audiences an audio stream of “La Clemenza di Tito” with Russell Thomas in the title role. James Conlon conducts. The stream kicks off at 5 p.m. PDT.

The week’s slate concludes with a recital by baritone Christopher Maltman as he performs alongside pianist Audrey Saint-Gil. Mozart’s music will be the main focus.
