Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble has announced the casts for the two shows which will make up the company’s “Love for Truth” festival in August 2020.

Opening the festival on August 21 will be the East Coast premiere of “Juana” by composer Carla Lucero and librettist Alicia Gaspar de Alba.

The cast will feature Luisamaria Hernandez in the title role, with Anna Woiwood as the Vicereine, The cast will also include Brial Alvarado, Geddy Warner, Will Esch, Jeffrey Mandelbaum, Sigal Chen, and James Danner.

Performance Dates: August 21-29, 2020

The second production will be Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena,” last performed by the company 10 seasons ago.

The principal roles will be double cast, with Christine Lyons and Monica Niemi as Anna Bolena, Christina Esser and Jessica Mirshak as Giovanna Seymour, Ian Joyal and Rick Agster as Lord Rochefort, Frederick Schlick and Stephen Steffens as Lord Riccardo Percy, SarahAnn Duffy and Andrea Howland Myers as Smeton, and Tyler Dobies and Stefan Barner as Sir Hervey.
