Cal Performances’ “At Home” is set to present recitals by Christine Goerke and Renée Fleming.

On April 1, Goerke’s recital will be presented from an Art Factory in New Jersey. The program will include music by Handel, Schumann, Brahms, and R. Strauss as well as a special selection of Italian songs celebrating the soprano’s heritage, musical-theater songs by Cole Porter and Leonard Bernstein, and Carrie Jacobs-Bond’s charming cycle of short pieces, her “Half-Minutes Songs of 1910.” Craig Terry will accompany the soprano and the recital will be available until June 30, 2021.

The organization will also present a discussion-performance focusing on the scientific basis for music’s healing powers with Fleming on April 29. This performance is part of the “Illuminations: Music and the Mind” series. The program will be available through July 28, 2021.
