Christine Goerke, Natalya Romaniw & Lauren Snouffer Headline Houston Grand Opera’s ‘Dialogues des Carmélites’

The Houston Grand Opera will perform Poulenc’s “Dialogues des Carmélites” in January 2022.

The opera will star Christine Goerke in the role of Madame Lidoine, Natalya Romaniw as Blanche, Lauren Snouffer as Sister Constance, Patricia Racette as Madame Croissy, and Jennifer Johnson Cano as Mother Marie. The cast also includes Rod Gilfry, Eric Taylor, Chad Shelton, Emily Treigle, Sun-Ly Pierce, Blake Denson, Luke Sutliff, Ricardo Garcia, Geoffrey Hahn, and William Guanbo Su.

Patrick Summers conducts a production by Francesca Zambello with set design by Hildegard Bechtler. Claudie Gastine will design the costumes.

“Dialogues des Carmélites” is set to open on Jan. 14 and will be performed four times through Jan. 22, 2022.
