Christian Van Horn Joins IMG Artists for Management

The bass-baritone will be represented by Executive Vice President and Global Head of Vocal, Matthew Horner from the New York office.

Matthew’s deep passion for opera is both inspiring and contagious, and I look forward to the many conversations – and shared cocktails – in our future.”
Horner added, “I am thrilled to begin collaborating with the brilliant Christian van Horn. Through more than two decades of friendship and conversations, we both are ready to undertake this wonderful phase of his career. Christian has shown such intelligence in playing the long game with his career, and he has deservedly arrived at the international recognition he deserves, particularly in Italian and French opera. I look forward to many discussions and even the honour of a CVH podcast appearance, as well as a few superb cocktails and meals in the process!”
This season Van Horn has already performed in a production of “Les contes d’Hoffmann” at The Metropolitan Opera. He is set to perform Bartók’s “Bluebeard’s Castle” with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Verdi’s “Don Carlos” at the Opéra National de Paris, Escamillo in Bizet’s “Carmen” for San Francisco Opera and Royal Ballet and Opera, and his title role debut in Verdi’s “Attila.”
