Choral Arts Society of Washington Announces 2026–27 Season

The Choral Arts Society of Washington has announced its 2026–27 season.

“Community Sing” will be presented in partnership with the German Embassy, featuring a Unity Sing with the Madrigalchor of the Hochschule für Musik Munich.

Performance Date: September 19, 2026


“In Search of Home” features Bernstein’s “Chichester Psalms,” Caroline Shaw’s “To the Hands,” Buxtehude’s “Ad Manus,” Brahms’ “An die Heimat,” and Jeffrey Derus’ “Whoever You Are.”

Performance Date: October 25, 2026


“Wonder” 46th Annual Holiday Concert & Gala” takes place at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium.

Performance Date: December 13, 2026


“Holiday Series: Family Christmas” will be held at Capital Turnaround in Navy Yard.

Performance Date: December 19, 2026


“Holiday Series: O Night Divine” returns to The Music Center at Strathmore with the full symphonic chorus and orchestra.

Performance Date: December 23, 2026


“Spring Collaboration Concert” with Madrigalchor München features the Choral Arts Chamber Ensemble and Madrigalchor München in an a cappella program of American and German repertoire at Church of the Epiphany.

Performance Date: March 18, 2027


“Facing the Unknown: Brahms’ Requiem” pairs Johannes Brahms’ “Ein Deutsches Requiem” with Jake Runestad’s “A Silence Haunts Me” at The Music Center at Strathmore.

Performance Date: March 20, 2027


“Echoes and Horizons: an Auf Wiedersehen Concert” precedes the ensemble’s tour of Munich, Leipzig, and Berlin at Church of the Epiphany.

Performance Date: June 12, 2027
