Charlottesville Opera Announces 2020 Season

The Charlottesville Opera has announced its 43rd season, which will include two productions.

The season will open with a concert entitled “Love Stories,” which will feature young artists and an orchestra.  The concert will take place at the Grisham Hall.

Performance Dates: July 3, 2020

The season will showcase Charlottesville Opera’s 43rd annual gala, which will celebrate the romance of opera.

Performance Dates: June 7, 2020 

The first production of the season will be a new production Puccini’s “La Bohème.” The opera, which is written by Illica and Giacosa, will get a new production at the Paramount Theater.

Performance Dates: July 15-19, 2020

The second production of the season will be the Disney musical “Beauty and the Beast,” also presented at the Paramount Theater.

Performance Dates: July 30-August 2, 2020

Casts will be announced at a latter date.
