Dutch soprano Channa Malkin will make her debut with the Joven Orquesta Barroca de Andalucía on Dec. 23, 2022.

The concert will feature a program made up of works Händel and Vivaldi. Audiences will hear excerpts from “Messiah,” “Orlando,”  and “Giulio Cesare” from the former and passages from “Arsilda” and “La Fida Ninfa” from the latter, among others. Salvador Vázquez will conduct the performance.

Following this performance, Malkin is set to give a receital at the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and will then deliver a Spanish Songs recital in Gouda, Leiden, and Maastrict.

Vásquez is the recipient of the 2015 Premio “Ciudad de Málaga” and was also the 2016 winner of the Concurso International de Dirección de Orquesta de Córdoba. He was also a finalist of the Concurso International de la Dirección in Besançon. He has conducted such ensembles as the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga, and the Orquesta Sinfónica de Navarra, among many others.
