Central City Opera has announced that it is teaming up with the Denver Philharmonic and Performing Arts Academy to present Mozart’s “Requiem” on Nov. 15 and 16 at the Central Presbyterian Church Antonia Brico Stage in Denver, Colorado.

The performance will feature soprano Anna Christy, mezzo Abigail Nims, tenor Matthew Plenk, and bass-baritone Eric J. McConnell. Lawrence Golan, the music director of the Denver Philharmonic will conduct the performance.

The Performing Arts Academy will provide the chorus for the concert, which will be made up of students from Mountain Vista and Thunderridge High Schools.

“Mozart’s Requiem is one of the finest vocal-orchestral masterpieces ever created. It is at once heartbreaking, fiery and consoling,” Golan said in a press release. “The phenomenal vocalists they have lined up will be a real treat for us to work with. We are delighted to partner with Central City Opera for this extraordinary event.”
