Central City Opera Guild is set to present its annual “Opera Teaser” on Feb. 12, 2026, at the Wellshire Event Center in Denver.

The fundraising evening offers a preview of the 2026 season, with selections from “Le nozze di Figaro,” “The Ballad of Baby Doe,” and “Master Class.”

The event begins with a cocktail reception and heavy hors d’oeuvres, followed by an opera performance. Guests are invited to participate in the “Battle of the Arias,” in which audience donations determine which arias are performed during the evening. Proceeds from the “Battle of the Arias” benefit the Guild’s Garden Fund.

Performing artists include bass-baritone Andrew Simpson, baritone Dante Mireles, soprano Hallie Schmidt, and mezzo-soprano Katiann Nelson, with Teresa Crane serving as collaborative pianist. The singers are current and former CCO artists and residents with credits at companies including Opera Colorado, Santa Fe Opera, Central City Opera, and Seattle Opera.
