Central City Opera Cancels Performances Due to COVID-9

By Francisco Salazar

The Central City Opera has canceled performances from July 19 through July 24.

The company said, “in consultation with our medical partners and in order to protect the health and safety of patrons, artists and staff, all Festival performances scheduled for Tuesday, July 19 through Sunday, July 24 have been canceled.”

It continued, “due to recently reported COVID-19 cases in the company, Central City Opera has made the difficult decision to cancel all festival performances for this week. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we navigate these challenging circumstances in order to protect the health and safety of our community.”

Additionally, the Central City Opera said it is working with its medical consultants to ensure that it takes the appropriate steps when it resumes performances.

Ticketholders will have the option to exchange their tickets for another 2022 Festival Performance or donate the value of the ticket(s) back to Central City Opera as a tax-deductible contribution. They can also receive a full refund for the value of the ticket(s).

The company has set up a ticket request form that you can find here.
