Central City Opera Announces Cast of ‘The Ballad of Baby Doe’

The Central City Opera has announced the cast of for the “The Ballad of Baby Doe.”

Virginia Mims will sing the role of Elizabeth “Baby Doe” Tabor alongside Weston Hurt as Horace Tabor, Emily Pulley as
Augusta Tabor, and Kristin Gornstein as Mama McCourt. The cast will be rounded out by Ashraf Sewailam as William Jennings Bryan.

Cynthia Lawrence will direct the opera with Aaron Breid conducting.

The Central City Opera’s 2026 season will also feature feature “The Marriage of Figaro” and “Master Class.”
