Catalina Cuervo Headlines Anchorage Opera’s 2019-20 Season

The Anchorage Opera has announced its 2019-20 season featuring three productions.

The season opens with Rossini’s comedic gem “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” for three performances. Cast to be announced later.

Performance Dates: Nov. 1 – 3, 2019 

Catalina Cuervo brings her acclaimed interpretation of “Frida” in Robert  Xavier Rodríguez’s opera, which has become a staple in the repertory. Cuervo has performed the work with the Florida Grand Opera, Cincinnati Opera, and Michigan Opera. She is also set to perform it at the Atlanta Opera next season.

Performance Dates: Feb. 14 – 16, 2020

Puccini’s masterpiece “Tosca” concludes the season in an opera that promises suspense and lots of drama. The cast is set to be announced later.

Performance Dates: April 17 – 19, 2020
