
Cast Change: Wiener Staatsoper Announces Changes for ‘Luisa Miller’ & ‘Falstaff’

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced cast changes for its productions of “Luisa Miller” and “Falstaff.”
The company said that Marko Mimica will sing the role of Wurm, replacing Andrea Mastroni.
It added that Attila Mokus will sing the role of Ford in “Falstaff,” replacing the originally announced Davide Luciano.
Mimica, who performs regularly throughout Europe at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Royal Opera House, and Teatro Regio di Torino, among others, is set to join a cast that includes Roberto Tagliavini, Freddie De Tommaso, Daria Sushkova, George Petean, and Nadine Sierra.
Meanwhile, Mokus will join a cast that includes Ambrogio Maestri, Iván Ayon Rivas, Evgeny Solodovnikov, Ruzan Mantashyan, Emily Pogorelc, and Monika Bohinec.
“Luisa Miller” opens on Feb. 4, 2025, while “Falstaff” opens on Nov. 8, 2025.
