Cast Change: Maggie Gawrysiak to Debut Into Met Opera’s ‘Peter Grimes’ Cast

Maggie Gawrysiak will make her company debut in the role of Auntie, replacing Denyce Graves in the role.
Gawrysiak is represented by Fletcher Artists has performed with such companies as Minnesota Opera, Madison Opera, Seattle Opera, Boise Philharmonic, Tanglewood Music Festival, Opera Colorado, Atlanta Opera, Lyric Opera of Kansas City, and North Carolina Opera, among others.
She joined the Metropolitan Opera’s roster during the 2021-22 season as the cover for Madame Larina in “Eugene Onegin.”
She joins a cast starring Allan Clayton in the title role and Nicole Car as Ellen Orford. Adam Plachetka plays Balstrode and Nicholas Carter conducts the opera.
