The Arena di Verona has announced a cast change for its Sept. 6 performance of “Rigoletto.”

The company said that Lisette Oropesa will take over the role of Gilda replacing Erin Morley.

Oropesa also took to social media and said, “Dear friends, I will see you this Saturday, September 6th for a single performance of Gilda at the Arena di Verona at 21:00, alongside my dear friend Ludovic Tezier as RIGOLETTO. I’m wishing my friend Erin Morley a speedy recovery and return to the stage!”

Oropesa is well-known for her Gilda having performed it at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, LA Opera, Paris Opera, and the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma.

In addition to Oropesa and Tezier, “Rigoletto” will star Pene Pati, Martina Belli, and Ginaluca Buratto. Michele Spotti will conduct the production by Ivo Guerra.
